Tax-Exempt Purchasing

Mindful Farmer accepts tax-exemption applications from qualifying farms and agricultural producers, nonprofits, schools and educational institutions, government entities, resellers, and other eligible organizations.

Submitting an application does not automatically make a purchase tax-exempt. We review exemption documentation before changing a customer account's tax status.

How it works

1. Complete the tax-exemption application and submit your supporting certificate or documentation.
2. We review the information and documentation you provide.
3. If approved, we mark the Shopify customer record associated with your email address as tax-exempt.
4. For future purchases, use the same approved customer email/account so Shopify can apply your tax-exempt status.

If you are requesting a quote or draft order, you can apply before purchasing. Once approved, we can associate the tax-exempt customer record with your quote or draft order.
