Farm-to-Table Dinner at the Mindful Farmer Homestead
Arkansas Harvest: An Evening of Food, Farming, & the Story of Arkansas Agriculture
Saturday, November 14 | 6–9 PM
Conway, Arkansas | Limited to 16 Guests
Gather around the table with us for an intimate evening of great food, meaningful conversation, and connection to people and place at the Mindful Farmer homestead (aka Sean and Melanie Pessarra's home garden).
Under the glow of string lights and beside a warm fire, we’ll explore the story of food in Arkansas. Each course is carefully curated to highlight Arkansas producers in each region and industry. Throughout the evening, Sean and Melanie, and guest farmers Brandon and Cat Gordon from 5-Acre Farm, tell the story of the ingredients used and the dedication of the people who grew them.
Courses are inspired by the land, farms, and agricultural heritage of Arkansas. The five-course menu will move through the river, forest, garden, farmstead, and orchard, highlighting ingredients grown at the Mindful Farmer homestead and by other Arkansas farmers and producers.
This meal will be an omnivore and locavores dream with bread from freshly milled grains, handmade herb butters, autumn greens and root vegetables, locally grown specialty mushrooms, rice, Arkansas Black apples, fresh herbs, and proteins and other ingredients at the peak of the November harvest: all from the Natural State!
Full menu will be released closer to date.
The Evening
We’ll begin at 6 PM gathered around the table with communal style light bites. Each course to follow will tell a piece of a larger story: the Indigenous food ways that preceded modern Arkansas agriculture, the people and communities who shaped our state's farms and kitchens, and the farmers continuing those traditions today.
We’ll finish the evening with an Arkansas-inspired dessert, hot coffee and tea, and an open Q&A around the table.
This is meant to be more than dinner. It’s an opportunity to slow down, share an amazing meal, meet others who care about where their food comes from, and experience what is possible when we begin growing more of it ourselves and living in alignment with our design. Connected to place, connected to the Earth, and connected to one another.
We can't wait to commune with you around the family table. Only 16 seats available
